India's 1st COMMERCIAL CONSIGNMENT OF GI TAGGED PURANDAR FIGS exported successfully from Purandar, India to Hong Kong by PURANDAR HIGHLANDS FARMERS PRODUCER COMPANY LIMITED and Scion Agricos!

Nearly an year after we exported India's first sample consignment to Hamburg, Germany and then later to a few EU and South Asian Countries, we finally bagged a commercial consignment order for GI Tagged Purandar Figs to Hong Kong.

We exported the consignment on 10th February 2023, and today after getting a detailed feedback from importing client, we are very happy to announce that the consignment was a success , well accepted and also one that has generated interest in the importing country for further orders!

Though this is just a start for us and knowing very well that there is a big scope of improvement, today after 9 years of working on this project we can certainly say that "WE HAVE DONE IT!"

Shri Piyush Goyal Sir Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, your tweet on 17/4/2022 appreciating our efforts for 1st trial consignment done with reference from Financial Express (India) news dated 14/4/2022 was a great great motivation for us to take steps for making this a commercially viable project which will help our country get recognition in our GI Tagged commodities globally.

Our efforts were also appreciated then by Hon. Shri Sharad Pawar Saheb, Former Agriculture and Defence Minister of India who had given us this vision of exporting the highly perishable Figs and by our MP Hon. Supriya Sule who has been a true Brand Ambassador for GI Tagged Purandar Figs.

Our consignment also had the branding on it for 'VISIT INDIA 2023' mission by Incredible India, Ministry of Tourism, India to support it's campaign.

The launch was done at the hands of Hon. Shri Sharad Pawar Saheb and Hon. Supriya Tai Sule in New Delhi.

A dedicated packaging for such a highly perishable fruit was the need of the hour to extend its shelf life and reach ability to distant markets (including the domestic and international).

Also attached are a few images of the new innovative packaging explaining why we introduced this packaging for figs.
